The photographer and the model maintain a moderate distance, shooting at about the same level. The composition utilizes foreground framing, with branches of magnolias enhancing the subject; contrast framing, showcasing the interplay between classical and contemporary elements; and central framing to highlight the subject. A medium focal length lens is used to clearly capture the details of the flowers, the person, and the buildings.

Keep an eye on both sides of the road, especially near the courtyards in the hutongs, where you can see the blooming magnolias.

Walking Guide

Exit at South Luogu Alley Station on Metro Line 8, take Exit E. After exiting the turnstiles, walk straight ahead (east) along Dianmen East Street, passing by some sidewalk shops and restaurants. Walk for about 200 meters, then turn left into Dongbuyaqiao Alley when you see the intersection. Continue walking along the alley, where you’ll find many magnolia trees planted. During the right blooming period (usually mid-March to early April), you can enjoy the beautiful magnolia flowers.
